Garage Flooring LLC Improving User Experience by Clarifying Free Shipping and Allowing Customers to Access Coupon Codes Directly from Cart Page
Doesn’t it drive you nuts when you go to make a purchase from a website, and it has a place for a coupon code and you don’t have one?
Several weeks ago Garage Flooring LLC announced that it was shifting its entire SEO budget into developing a better user experience. Over the last two weeks we have implemented some major changes and several more are planned over the next 30 days. Todays change is a fun one because it deals with issues that I would say affect the majority of our customers.
First, maybe I am spoiled by the club cards at al the grocery stores, but I do not want to have to go looking around for a coupon code! Now when you go to check out and you place your mouse over the coupon code area, the most recent code is displayed. If you click the link, we even populate the coupon code for you!
The second is not so much of a change as it is a clarification and a simplification. We have always advertised free shipping, but when you got to our Magento shopping cart there was this confusing area that asked you if you wanted to ‘calculate shipping.’ it would always return ) a value of 0.00, so whats the point? Now when you go to checkout the system will instantly and automatically confirm that your shipping really is free!
Clearly none of these ideas are ‘rocket science.’ Our goal is simple: When it comes time for you to make a purchase of garage flooring and garage storage products, we want to make that purchase as easy and simple as possible.
