How to Repair Lifting of Garage Floor Mats at Garage Door
Every once in a while we will have a customer call in and for one reason or another their garage floor mats are lifting at the entrance to the garage. This can be a frustrating experience as tires can catch them and people can trip over them.
The best solution is to try to avoid the problem to begin with. Cutting the garage floor mat about 1/4″ short of the garage door helps considerably. Making sure you have the proper expansion gaps and that the material was allowed to relax also helps.
Sometimes it still happens and there is a very simple solution. Simply spray 3M #80 spray adhesive on the concrete under the front couple of inches of the garage floor mat. Then lay the mat back down in accordance with the instructions provided. This should resolve the issue
