12″ x 1.75″ Tapered Male Edge
SKU: HDME

ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH TRUELOCK HD/HDXT AND RACEDECK TILES
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TRUELOCK STANDARD
Male edges have only pegs and lock into the loop side of the tile. These edges are NOT used in most wall to wall applications. If the tiles are laid out as we show in the installation instructions, male edgest would be used on an EXPOSED edge on the right side or back of the garage. This is based on standing outside the garage looking in, with the garage door being the front. An exposed edge could be an additional overhead door, opening, or any time the tile is not against a wall*
*When we say against a wall we do not mean to eliminate the expansion gap. Against a wall will still be 1/2″ from the wall
12″ x 1.75″ Tapered Female Edge

ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH TRUELOCK HD/HDXT AND RACEDECK TILES
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TRUELOCK STANDARD
This is the edge you want to order for the garage door. Female edges have loops and attach to the flat side of the tile. Note a generic version of this in black only is suggested when you add to cart. They are the same product. We highly suggest black as it will not mark from tires.
If the tiles are laid out as we show in our installation diagram, female edges are used at the garage door (inside the garage door track 1/2″ back from the door) and any exposed area on the front wall or left wall. Exposed could be another overhead door or an area where the tiles are not up to a wall*
*By not up to a wall we are not referring to an expansion gap, but we mean someplace it would be a trip hazard.

Male edge with integrated corner. These are rarely if ever used in a wall to wall installation.
Corners are used when connecting edging on two sides. An example of this would be if you were making a parking pad instead of going wall to wall or if you did half your garage. Facing the side you are working on, corners always go on the RIGHT.
To connect the front edge with the right edge you would use a FEMALE CORNER on the front edge.
To connect the front edge to the left edge you would use a FEMALE corner on the left edge.
To connect the back edge to the right edge a MALE corner would be used on the right edge
To connect the back edge to the left side a MALE corner would be used on the back edge.
All sides are based on our installation diagram. Standing outside the garage looking in with the garage door being the front of the garage.
